The Jester is a fully registered, twin engine, fiberglass catamaran 25.4 meters in length, with a 7.3 meter beam. The Jester accommodates 190 passengers with facilities such as inside seating for approximately 110 passengers, an enclosed upper deck which seats about 80 passengers, and full toilet facilities. There is a fully licensed bar  situated on the Upper Deck equipped with a sound system for on board parties.

The Jester is currently contracted to Robben Island and is being used as a ferry service between Nelson Mandela Gateway in the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island.
